A treaty ceding 4.6 million acres in northwestern Ohio, northeastern Indiana, and southern Michigan. The treaty reserved 12 acres near Upper Sandusky, Ohio, for the Wyandot. Also called the Treaty of Maumee Rapids, or the Treaty of Fort Meigs.
A treaty clarifying that the lands designated to tribes and individuals in the Treaty of Maumee Rapids (1817) were not granted by the United States; rather they were never ceded in the first place. This treaty also established the Big Spring Reserve.
