"Kansas City, Kansas: It's Place in the History of the State!"

Summary:
"Kansas City, Kansas: It's Place in the History of the State!" by William E. Connelley, 1918
Description:

This is the third edition of William E. Connelley's address delivered to the State Historical Society, and later published in the Kansas City Sun. Connelley opens his address by discussing his own personal journey in Kansas starting in 1881, and how he visited the reservation of the Southern Wyandots to learn their history. The Wyandots gave Connelley their historical documents, as they felt that they had no value whatsoever. Connelley discusses the movements of the Wyandots to Kansas, the Methodist Episcopal Church, slavery, and many other topics throughout the address. The pamphlet also contains a section on the Historical Society itself, and a list of the members.
