Transcript of the Journal of Abelard Guthrie (January 1 - April 29, 1858)

This is a transcription of the Diary/Journal of Abelard Guthrie from January 1 - April 29, 1858. Guthrie notes the lending of money to certain individuals, collecting money from others, and handing "Chas. M. Chapin an agreement signed by myself giving all my interest in Quindaro Co. property to the use of the town on certain conditions." Guthrie also notes the deaths of certain individuals, including George I. Clark, who passed away on January 25, 1858. Guthrie says that he mourns "his loss with tears -- the first that have moistened my eyes for years."
